Apex is where two of our kids grew up. One graduated from Apex High School, the other from Apex Friendship High. They both played basketball all the way from the rec league at the Apex Community Center to teams at Apex Middle and high schools.
We moved to Apex before the Target was built in Beaver Creek! The kids used to walk to Salem Street to the ice cream shop back before there were any sidewalks leading to downtown. We loved watching our town grow and bring more amenities, but we wanted to make sure that growth didn't come at the cost of our community's health.
